- Transaction Data: Payment amounts, payment method, Paystack reference, cryptocurrency type and amount, exchange rate at time of transaction
- Communication Data: Messages sent between users on the platform
- Device and Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session duration for security and analytics purposes
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account on the platform
- To verify the identity of landlords and agents before publishing their listings
- To process rental payments, sales deposits, and commissions via Paystack, Stripe, and BRLT Token
- To send transactional emails — payment receipts, appointment notifications, verification updates
- To facilitate communication between tenants and landlords/agents
- To detect and prevent fraud, fake listings, and suspicious payment activity
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted third parties, strictly for the purposes of operating the platform:
- Paystack: For processing card and bank transfer payments
- Stripe: For processing international card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
- BRLT Token: For processing on-chain crypto payments on BNB Smart Chain
- Cloudinary: For storing and serving property images
- OneSignal: For sending browser push notifications to platform administrators
- Google: For map services on property pages
All third parties are contractually bound to use your data only for the specific services they provide to BoomRealties.
5. Payment Data
BoomRealties does not store card numbers, bank account details, or cryptocurrency private keys. Local card and bank transfer payments are handled by Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant processor. International card payments are processed by Stripe. BRLT Token payments are verified on-chain via BNB Smart Chain — we store only the transaction hash and amount for record-keeping. We store only transaction metadata (amount, reference number, currency, exchange rate) for record-keeping and dispute resolution.
For BRLT Token transactions, we store the transaction hash, token amount sent, and Naira equivalent at the time of verification. We do not hold cryptocurrency at any time.
6. Cookies
We use the following cookies on our platform:
- Session Cookies: Essential cookies that maintain your login session. These are stored in httpOnly cookies and cannot be accessed by JavaScript, protecting against XSS attacks.
- Analytics Cookies: Used to understand how users interact with the platform. Data is anonymised and not linked to personal identity.
